ABOUT HRAsia e-group
The ‘Harm Reduction Asia (HRAsia) e-group’ is a regional platform for all harm reduction service providers in Asian countries.
The e-group is envisioned to serve as a common platform for learning and exchange, tracking challenges and progress, and making joint advocacy efforts.
NAPUD is committed to:
- Meaningful engagement of people who use drugs through addressing structural barriers,
- Urgent scale-up of harm reduction, including needle and syringe program (NSP) and opioid agonist treatment (OAT) to reach coverage targets,
- Increased funding for harm reduction,
- Implementation of decentralized and simplified service delivery led by people who use drugs, and
- Active participation and leadership of communities at all levels of policy and service delivery
WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO JOIN THE E-GROUP?
All communities and civil society organizations implementing harm reduction services in Asian countries are welcome to join the e-group. We encourage active participation of harm reduction providers, including community health workers (i.e., outreach/inreach), counselors, doctors, nurses, and managers, to join the e-group.
